Curacao is home to two national parks, Christoffel National (www.christoffelpark.org) and Shete Boka National (www.shetebokapark.org). The two sit adjacent to one another at the North end of the country and are home to countless trails, offering the outdoor enthusiast a chance to explore the countryside.

While Shete Boka is famous for its ocean views of the north coast, Christoffel, the larger of the two, is known for having Mount Christoffel, the highest point in Curaçao. Standing at a proud 372 meters (1,220 feet), the view from the top is remarkable.

The trail takes around 75 minutes to complete, depending on traffic and your number of water breaks. A mix of carved out rocky paths, steep climbs, and shaded forest areas lead the way to the summit where you’re rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views - on clear days, you can see Venezuela!

Entry to the park costs around $15 USD
